Jupiter imaged on 13th Jan 2012 using WO FLT110 with 4x AE Powermate as L(R)RGB using re-chipped DMK21au04/ ICX618 camera and Astronomik filters
Mars (inset) imaged with Meade LX90 10inch scope with 3x barlow, using Imaging Source DMK21au04/ ICX618 camera, processed using Registax 6, combined in Maxim DL, and tweaked in PScs3..
In January, Jupiter is visible at sunset until midnight and Mars rises over the eastern horizon around 10 to 11 p.m.
